‘Knitting Ladies’ force G8 To Camp David From Chicago. “Not on my watch!”, Obama Declares

“No friggin way, no friggin way!”, said President Obama faced with the threat of thousands of angry women (and men) showing up in Chicago and literally knitting the G8 into the annals of history. “Geez, hasn’t this Occupy thing gone quite far enough?”, said Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (Obama’s former chief of staff who keeps f-ing up). On the Occupy front in NYC, #OWS Fiber Arts member Marsha Spencer deflected and expressed surprise at the President’s decision. “I just said at a planning meeting for our May1st Knit-In that maybe it would be fun to make some hats for the G8 guys”, she opined. “I had no idea he actually cared about anything us 99% were actually doing”. Meanwhile the Obama camp remains quite mum on the reason for the change in venue for the G8 from Chicago to Camp David. “We just thought the boys might enjoy a little fishin’”, said a White House spokesperson. Geez. We wonder if Angela Merkel fishes or knits?Tags: #OWS Fiber Arts, G8, knitting ladies, Occupy
